Welcome Back!

Our first week of second grade was fantastic!  I am so excited to see what this group will accomplish this year. My class has a fun mix of personalities and I've been impressed with how well they've made the transition back to school-mode.  I hope everyone enjoyed the long Labor Day weekend. Week 2, here we come!

Book orders are due tomorrow!

Our last Scholastic book order for this year is due tomorrow. Please make sure your child‘s name is on the order, and make checks payable to Scholastic. Thanks!

Don't forget book club!

I'm on Day 2 of a common core standards conference in Denver, but I want to remind my friends in the Brown Bag Book Club that we‘ll be meeting tomorrow. Don't forget your book, poster, and lunch!  I can't wait to hear about the reading you've been doing!

Joust!

Morris Elementary's Midieval Adventures will come to a close tomorrow with our two performances at the high school. Show times are 9:30 and 1:30. See you there!

A Night in Camelot

Our MES Community Event, "A Night in Camelot", is next week.  Please join us on Tuesday, April 24th for a fun-filled evening of jousting at Morris Kingdom!  Second graders are performing at this event and need to be in our classroom to get ready at 5:45.

MPAC Meeting Today

Reminder: There is an MPAC (Morris Parent Action Committee) meeting this afternoon at 3:45.  All parents are welcome.  We'd love to see you there!
