Writing

I am excited to use Every Child a Writer again this year to teach writing.  Through this program students participate in a whole group modeled writing lesson, and small group guided writing lesson, and independent practice every day.  Students were given a cold prompt at the beginning of the year to determine their developmental level on the writing continuum.  We begin at their level and move through the continuum progressing from one sentence to full paragraphs.  The progress students make with this program is impressive!  Look for writing to come home in Friday Folders soon!
